STC 2017 Fall Seminar Series – SBIR: The Nation’s Best Source of Funding for Tech Startups

September 12 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am

Free

STC.UNM, the University of New Mexico’s technology-transfer and economic-development office, is hosting its 2017 fall seminar series. These seminars are free and open to the UNM community and the public, but registration is required. Breakfast will be provided.

Presented by Barbara Stoller, Program Director at Technology Ventures Corp. (TVC)

Summary:

The Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR) provides over $2 billion every year in contracts and grants to small US-owned companies to develop new products and services that are based on innovative, unproven concepts and technologies.

New Mexico participation has resulted in state technology companies receiving over $30 million each year.

The best way to get in the game is to learn to write a competitive SBIR proposal.
